2026 Workshops

Workshops
Thank you to those that attended the Goldwork class. Please bring finished projects to the June meeting. We want to see them!!
There are three separate interest sheets in progress. Please indicate your interest on these sheets so we know if we should entertain the idea of these classes.
Needlepoint classes – 2026 & 2027 - Last Day to show Interest is the June Meeting
2026: Janet Casey will be teach us this fall. There are interest sheets for two 1-day classes (‘Jingle’ kit fee $125. and ‘Let It Snow’ kit fee $110) and two 2-day classes (‘More Creepy Candles’ $225 and ‘Ornamental Delight’ $195). Sign the interest sheet so we can decide what we would like her to teach. If you are interested in any of these options please sign your interest now. Once the class is selected, we will have sign-ups. The teaching fee will be shared among the students, after the HEG subsidy is applied.
2027: Next June we plan to have Jennifer Riefenberg teach one of her classes. All are 2-day classes. Kit costs are approximately $125. If you are interested, please sign the Interest Sheet now, as we will be locking in our project option and the June 2027 date soon. Projects: ‘Color Play 1”, ‘Color Play 2’, ‘Heron’, ‘Magic Color’, ‘Nights in White Satin’, ‘Summer Fire’, and ‘Winter Fire’.
Hazel Blomkamp ZOOM class
I am planning a Zoom class with Hazel Blomkamp. She is an outstanding modern crewel teacher. The Zoom class will be a Needle Lace techniques class. This is not a project class. With that said we will be able to purchase kits and/or books as a group with a 25% discount. I’ve asked Terri to bring some of our library books for those interested to look through. You can look at her website www.hazelblomkamp.com, to see what you like and what interests you. The class is $60, with the HEG subsidy of $30, so your cost would be $30, plus supplies. We can discuss group purchase of supplies when we have a confirmed class. The Zoom class will be three (3) one-hour classes in consecutive weeks, with a possible fourth class. She will determine where we are as a group and determine if a fourth is necessary. I believe some ladies in our group have taken classes from her so please share your thoughts with others. Additionally, if you have one of Hazel’s pieces in progress or finished, please bring to show us.
More information on other fun classes coming soon!! If you have questions regarding any of these or the upcoming classes, please contact me at bobbinorris09@yahoo.com, using Workshops as the subject would be helpful. Thank you.
