HEG is helping the Yellow Rose Chapter by making ";Kissing Pillows" for soldiers who are being deployed away from their families. A heart shaped design is cross stitched onto 14-count Aida cloth. It is backed with cotton fabric in patriotic colors and made into small pillows. The soldier kisses the pillow and gives one to each of his or her children as a keepsake to hold onto while the parent is away. The designs are small and simple enough to keep in your purse and stitch when you are waiting at the doctor's office or elsewhere. The chart is on our website or call Michelle Roberts. The design is copy-righted by Geraldine Trappey of Yellow Rose and we have permission to use it as members of HEG for this specific purpose. Let's see how many we can get done for Yellow Rose to distribute to our soldiers. It's the least we can do! Remember our goal is to have each member stitch 12 kissing pillows. Everyone who stitches 12 pillows will receive a charm.
